Univ. of Chicago Political Scientist to Discuss Multilateralism at Williams

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass., March 17, 2003–Political scientist Daniel Drezner will discuss “The Uncertain Future of Multilateralism” on Wed., March 19, at 8 p.m. The talk will be held in Griffin Hall, room 3. It is one in a series of the prestigious Gaudino Forums.

Drezner, who is on the faculty of the University of Chicago, received his B.A. from Williams College and his Ph.D. from Stanford University.

His research programs focus on economic interdependence and economic statecraft, globalization, and internal organization. He is the author of “The Sanctions Paradox: Economic Statecraft and International Relations” (1999) as well as articles in International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, and American Journal of Political Science.

He has received fellowships in support of his work from the John M. Olin Institute at Harvard University’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and has served as a Council on Foreign Relations Affairs Fellow.
