Editorial Services

The Editorial Services team builds and expands the reach of Williams College into the world.

We write, edit, and produce the college’s most widely read content across a variety of platforms, including Williams Magazine, the college’s homepage and social media channels. We can share best practices with you and help you find the most effective ways to reach your audiences—both in print and online—whether it’s launching a Twitter campaign or sharing your stories through traditional and nontraditional media. And we can offer our writing and editing expertise to ensure that your content is clear and meets the highest possible standards for editorial quality.

Williams Magazine
Williams Magazine strengthens the supportive connections between the college and its audiences by providing them with compelling and engaging experiences. Coupled with Williams People, an alumni news publication, the magazine is one of the college’s most important communications vehicles.
Social Media
Social media lets Williams engage in ongoing conversations with current and prospective students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, colleagues, fans and friends about what is most important to them, strengthening connections and extending the community found on the Williams campus to the world.
Media Relations
Our office works to effectively promote and build awareness of Williams. We manage day-to-day interactions and cultivate relationships with news media and provide media training and consultation to faculty and administrators. We also produce and distribute news releases, photography and video.
Writing and Editing
We are responsible for writing or commissioning content for Williams Magazine, the college home page, the admission viewbook and other key marketing and communications projects. We also provide writing and editing services and strategic consulting for faculty and administrators across campus.
