Web Development

The Office of Communications is home to a small group of web developers and web content specialists. The web team is responsible for developing and maintaining the college’s overall web presence and their expertise is a resource for the entire Williams community. If you have questions, comments, or needs related to Williams websites, please be in touch at webteam@williams.edu. To learn more about what they do and how they can help you, read on and check out the pages in the Web Development section of the sidebar.

The homepage and many other Williams sites are built on the WordPress content management system (CMS). The web team designs the templates and builds the tools used by these sites. See our services page for more detail on what we do. Get in touch by email if you would like to move your site into the latest design.

Training & Support

Managing your website’s content can be a challenge. We aim to make that job easier by providing how-to documentation, instructional videos and WordPress training. If you are new to WordPress or need a refresher on how it works, please email us at webteam@williams.edu

Media & Content Tools

We offer a wide variety of tools to help you incorporate content from other sources (e.g. YouTube, PeopleSoft, Google), and easily add galleries, feature sliders, and video to your site.

Site Statistics & Analysis

All Williams WordPress sites use Google Analytics to gather information about audience behavior and track page view statistics. Contact us if you would like to get a better understanding of how visitors are using your site.
